Tour of the Trudeau Institute, Saranac Lake

 

The Trudeau Institute is an independent, not-for-profit organization which conducts research on the functions of the human immune system and how to strengthen these functions to fight life-threatening infectious diseases.  The Institute is an important employer in the Village of Saranac Lake which has occupied its current location on Lower Saranac Lake since the mid-1960s.  The Institute’s building was expanded in 1998 pursuant to Agency Permit 98-052 in order to accommodate an expanded research program.  The Committee will tour the Institute and view the outcome of the 1998 expansion.
