How does the Agency decide whether to grant a business related permit?

Agency staff evaluates the ability of the development site or building to accommodate the proposed activity without significant environmental effects. The proposed activities, site development features, character of the area, and other factors will be used to determine if the project is appropriate as proposed or if the proposal will need to be modified. The Agency is required to determine undue environmental impacts taking into account the potential economic benefits that will result for the community.
