How is my land classified?
Under the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan, all private lands in the Park are classified into six categories: hamlet, moderate intensity use, low intensity use, rural use, resource management and industrial use. Each type of area has a specific color on the Park Plan map. To check on the land use classification in which an individual parcel of land is located, contact the APA or check the interactive mapping.
