November 2018 APA Board Meeting Agenda

RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook on Thursday, November 8th and Friday November 9th, 2018.

On Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.

At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for a variance request to expand a single-family dwelling located within the shoreline setback of Loon Lake. The project site is in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County.

The committee will also determine approvability for a proposed commercial use excavation business including the construction of a new 6,000 square foot building. The project is in the Town of Fort Ann, Washington County.

At 11:15 a.m., the State Land Committee will come to order to consider authorizing State Land Master Plan conformance for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservations (DEC) Generic Campground unit management plan, Eagle Point Public Campground and the Brown Tract Pond Public Campground unit management plans.

At 1:15 p.m., the State Land Committee will reconvene to determine State Land Master Plan conformance for a proposed amendment to the Grass River Wild Forest unit management plan and hear informational presentations from DEC staff on the Blue Ridge Wilderness and Hammond Pond Wild Forest unit management plans.

At 2:45 p.m., the Public Awareness and Communication Committee will convene for an overview of Adirondack Park Conservation Easements. DEC staff will detail the status and value of sustainable forestry management on New York State Adirondack Park Conservation Easement Lands. DEC staff will inform the committee on the ongoing success of their conservation easement programs featuring agreements, compliance and economic benefits to local economies. The goals, management and monitoring of the program will also be summarized

On Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will consider approval for a proposed amendment to Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map for private lands in the Town of Westport, Essex County. The committee will also consider authorizing a public comment period for proposed updates to the Agencys Renewable Energy Production, Supply and Conservation Policy.

At 10:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions and hear member and Local Government Review Board comment.
