Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/Hearings/index.cfm:

• Construction of a new 10,000-square-foot public use structure to provide educational display areas, historian research rooms, a student educational lab, an administrative office space, and a 36-seat theater in the Town of Northampton, Fulton County (P2024-0210).

• Continued operation of an existing sand and gravel extraction in the Town of St. Armand, Essex County (P2025-0006).

• Reclamation of Echo Pond (C-P136) with rotenone piscicide to remove native but widely introduced brown bullhead and restore and enhance the native brook trout population in the Town of Santa Clara, Franklin County (P2025-0011).

• A four-lot subdivision to create vacant building lots ranging in size from 3.2±-acres to 18.9±-acres with each lot to be developed by one single-family dwelling in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County (P2024-0345).

• Repair and modification of existing marina infrastructure including the expansion of two stake docks, expansion of a boathouse roof to cover an adjacent boat slip, and reconstruction of an existing boat launch ramp in the Town of Bolton, Warren County (P2024-0303).  

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
