- Abstract: This data contains the land classification defined by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) for the Adirondack Park, New York State. Most recent updated date: August 2000.
- Purpose: Individual 7.5-minute quadrangle sections were mosaiced together into a single comprehensive polygon shapefile for easy display and accurate overlay and clipped to the extent of the St. Regis River Basin. This data set has been and will continue to be used to determine the zoning category of properties within the Adirondack Park, as well as for other types of analysis and display.
- Supplemental Information: Each of the original data layers was an integrate file containing line work representing hydrography; roads; and municipal, state, and private land boundaries. The coverages included both polygon and arc topology and attribution. The original data sets were tiled by 7.5 minute quadrangles. Polygon attributes consisted of 14 State and private zones and open water. Line attributes included hydrography, road, municipal boundary, and State/private boundaries.
