RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 13th and Friday, November 14th, 2025. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person or remotely. 

Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person as well as those who participate remotely. If you would like the opportunity to make a public comment remotely, please email your name and the phone number used to call into the Board Meeting to AgencyMeeting.PublicComment@apa.ny.gov. Those who sign up for public comment will be limited to three minutes each. Public comment will not be accepted on any agenda items that are before the Board.

On Thursday at 1:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 1:30 p.m., the Regulatory Programs committee will consider an application for a proposed weapons range for testing the internal ballistics of cannon barrels in the Town of Lewis. The proposal involves test firing a portable 155mm howitzer barrel assembly using nonexplosive steel projectiles up to 30 times per year on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Then, the Agency will adjourn committee meetings until Friday, November 14th.

On Friday at 9:00 a.m., the State Land committee will consider proposed final unit management plans for Luzerne Campground and Lincoln Pond Campground. Staff from the Agency and the Department of Environmental Conservation will present a summary of public comments and responses, including any changes made to the management actions in the proposed final drafts. Agency staff will also present State Land Master Plan (SLMP) considerations for intensive use areas.

At 10:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions.
