Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically. https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm

- The action involves the installation of a new 120-foot-tall monopine telecommunications tower. The tower includes simulated branching, a four-foot lighting rod, and an antenna array 105 feet above ground level. Access to the tower site will originate from NYS Route 56 utilizing an existing gravel access drive. The proposal is located in the Town of Colton, St. Lawrence County.

- The action involves a new commercial use and tourist accommodation providing event space and overnight accommodation rentals at the pre-existing Camp Bedford group camp. The proposal is located in the Town of Duane, Franklin County

- The action involves a regenerative timber harvest of 680 acres. The proposed timber harvest is designed to remove older, declining trees while creating conditions needed for a new healthy forest to grow. The property is subject to a NYS Working Forest Conservation Easement and is certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (FSI) and Forest Stewardship (FSC) third party monitoring programs. The proposal is in the Town of Colton, St. Lawrence County.

- The action involves the operation of a new commercial use archery training and practice facility. The proposal is in the Town of Peru, Clinton County.

- The action involves a three-lot subdivision creating a vacant 2.2-acre lot for the construction of a single family dwelling, a vacant 55.92-acre lot for continued forestry management, and a 265.6-acre lot with a pre-existing single family dwelling. The proposal is in the Town of Lake Pleasant, Hamilton County.

- The action involves a boundary line adjustment to re-configure four existing individual tax parcels to result in three new tax parcels as follows: Lot 1, a 2.9-acre vacant lot; Lot 2, a 1.6-acre containing an existing storage building; and Lot 3, a 1.6 acre lot improved by a garage and accessory shed. No new land use or development is proposed. The proposal is in the Town of Northampton, Fulton County.

- The action involves the installation of a new 105-foot-tall monopine telecommunications tower. The tower includes simulated branching, a four-foot lighting rod, and an antenna array 95 feet above ground level. Access to the tower site will originate from NYS Route 30, utilizing an existing gravel access drive.
