Description:
Abstract:
A set of 18 USGS 7.5' quadrangle-based wetland coverages was prepared for the Mohawk River Watershed, within the Adirondack Park Blue line designation by the Adirondack Park Agency (NYS APA). This database contains polygonal and linear features, rectified and vectorized using georeferencing tools in ArcGIS 9.2, as well as labeled using modified Cowardin classification, according to the National Wetlands Inventory conventions.
Purpose:
The wetlands database is part of a larger database, designed to evaluate watershed/wetland relationships. The New York state Adirondack Park Agency is sharing its natural resource database in an effort to help appreciate and wisely manage those natural resources, especially in a regional context.
