Roads and other related features within the Fulton County represented by lines, points and annotation.
Purpose:
A roads layer suitable for use in a Centralized Local Accident Surveillance System (CLASS). Currently used as a roads layer in GIS applications.

1:24,000 scale. Zone 18 of the UTM grid/projection system (Zone 18 is extended to cover New York State entirely in a single grid zone).

Process_Description:
This Roads File was produced as part of NYSDOT's Centralized Local Accident Surveillance System (CLASS), compiled during the late 1970's and early 1980's. All public roads were digitized from the most recent 1:24,000 scale NYSDOT quadrangle available at that time. Approximate locations of additional roads named on source maps were also added to the file. Official road names and route numbers were coded to the lines after they were digitized. Limited updates involving new roads and/or attributes may have been added to the file through 1991. In 1993 the CADD file was converted to a GIS file.
