This data file contains information on all acute care facilities licensed by the New York State Health Department and covered by NYS Article 28. The file contents are: FNAME (hospital name) OPCERT (operating certificate number) ADDR (address) PHONE N0 (phone number) county name FIPS (county latitude latitude in NAD 83 standard. longitude longitude in NAD 83 standard.

Purpose:

To provide accurate information on hospital name, address, and geographic coordinates. The coordinates have been validated by the Health Department.

Supplemental_Information:

Additional information on hospital occupancy by bed type are also available from the Health Department and can be linked with this file. MapInfo files are also available upon request from DOH for this data set. Scale:
