Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm:

• A variance involving construction of a gangplank involving wetlands and a non-conforming dock to provide Museum visitors with ADA-compliant access to the Raquette River in the Town of Tupper Lake, Franklin County (P2025-0056).

• Construction of a public use 8,000±-square foot sand/salt storage building with an overall height of 40 feet at the existing Town of Santa Clara Municipal and Highway Department facility in the Town of Santa Clara, Franklin County (P2025-0048).

• Installation of an on-site wastewater treatment system within 100 feet of a wetland and within 100 feet of a stream in the Town of Wilmington, Essex County (P2024-0078).

• Authorization and replacement of a dock and construction of a new boathouse in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County (P2025-0020).

• A variance involving the expansion of a retaining wall within the shoreline setback of Lake Luzerne in the Town of Lake Luzerne, Warren County (P2024-0220).

• Dredging sediment from the bottom of Lake George around existing docks to allow for continued boat access and docking in the Town of Bolton, Warren County (P2025-0066).

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
