Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm:

• A proposed 3-acre green cemetery in the Town of Saranac, Clinton County (P2024-0340).

• Installation of a new 109-foot-tall monopole telecommunication tower, including a new 235-foot-long, 12-foot-wide gravel access drive and underground utilities in the Town of Indian Lake, Hamilton County (P2024-0351).

• Installation of temporary post-assisted log structures (PALS) and strategic wood addition within Beaver Brook to reduce erosion and sedimentation and improve the geomorphological condition of the stream in the Town of Westport, Essex County (P2025-0087).

• Installation of two new utility poles measuring 47.5 feet above grade and one new utility pole measuring 43 feet above grade in the Town of Crown Point, Essex County (P2025-0166).

• A four-lot subdivision to create three lots ranging in size from 0.93 acres to 8.76 acres merged with adjoining properties which contain existing single-family dwellings (the fourth subdivision lot does not require an Agency permit) in the Town of Hague, Warren County (P2025-0132).

• Replacement of 17 existing utility poles ranging in height from 29 feet to 38.5 feet above grade with new poles ranging from 34 feet to 43 feet above grade and the installation of two new utility poles measuring 38.5 feet and 43 feet above grade in the Town of Lake George, Warren County (P2025-0150).

• Continuation of a municipal sand and gravel extraction and expansion of the 6.8-acre life of mine by 1.7 acres for a total of 8.5 acres in the Town of Duane, Franklin County (P2025-0145).
