Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm:

• A distribution line rebuild that includes the replacement of 29 existing utility poles with 29 new utility poles ranging from 38.5 to 47.5 feet above grade, the installation of 11 new utility poles measuring 34 to 38.5 feet above grade, and the installation 2 new utility poles measuring 40 feet above grad in the Town of Putnam, Washington County (P2025-0186).

• A four-lot subdivision of 18.6± acres creating a 2.40-acre building lot and three lots to be merged with adjoining parcels in the Town of Dannemora, Clinton County (2025-0137).

• Moving an existing 40-foot-long by 6-foot-wide dock in wetlands 12± feet along the shoreline in the Town of Chester, Warren County (P2025-0206).

• Subdivision of 226± acres to create a 60.54-acre lot and a 45.91-acre lot, each to be improved by a new single family dwelling, and a 108.56-acre vacant lot to be combined with an adjoining parcel in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County (P 2025-0126).

• A variance involving the replacement of a single family dwelling with a new single family dwelling that is 10 feet taller and partially located within the 50-foot shoreline setback in the Town of Wells, Hamilton County (P2025-0148).

• Rehabilitation of the Sixth Lake Dam in the Town of Inlet, Hamilton County (P2025-0109).

• A Large-scale Residential Subdivision Application with conceptual designs for the proposed subdivision of approximately 95 acres to create 30 building lots for residential development including a subdivision road and common trail system in the Town of Bolton, Warren County (P2025-0195).

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
