RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.
At present, the following projects are available for comment online:
- Construction of three wetland crossings using boardwalks. One boardwalk will be 87.3 feet in length, to access an upland area along the shoreline. Two boardwalks will be 18 feet and 13 feet in length to access the northern portion of the property.in the Town of Chester, Warren County (P2024-0143).
- Operation of a commercial use landscaping business with an associated 6600-square-foot structure in the Town of Ausable, Clinton County (P2025-0008).
- Authorization of a new permit term for a municipal sand and gravel extraction. Average annual removal of approximately 750 cubic yards per year in the Town of Elizabethtown, Essex County (P2025-0211).
- A variance request variance for the replacement of an existing on-site wastewater treatment system with a new on-site wastewater treatment system within the shoreline setback of Hadlock Pond in the Town of Fort Ann, Washington County (P2025-0055).
- Consideration by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) of a landowner’s request to amend the official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map (Plan Map), pursuant to Adirondack Park Agency Act § 805(2)(c)(1), by reclassifying approximately 11.8 acres of Rural Use land to Moderate Intensity Use (Area 1) and 56.5 acres of Rural Use land to Low Intensity Use (Area 2) in the Town of Lake Luzerne, Warren County.
