Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


Ray Brook, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment online at https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm:

- Four lot subdivision of a 32.26-acre lot into a 1-acre lot containing an existing mobile home, a 1-acre lot containing an existing single family dwelling, a 14.36-acre lot containing an existing barn, and a 15.9-acre lot containing an existing barn. No new land use or development is proposed. The project is located in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County (P2025-0284).

- Seven-lot subdivision of a vacant 168.47-acre parcel to create six lots between 1.96 and 3.98 acres in size. The seventh proposed lot is 149.77 acres in size. One single family dwelling is proposed on each of the seven lots. A private access road is proposed from NYS Route 73 to serve the development. The project is located in the Town of Keene, Essex County (P2025-0180).

- Construction and operation of two, 5MW AC, four-hour battery energy storage systems consisting of six lithium ion battery units within a fenced enclosure. Development will be located within a 0.85-acre leased area and includes gravel access, equipment pads, electrical grid interconnection poles and equipment. The project is located in the Town of Northampton, Fulton County (P2025-0238).

- Outside storage (i.e., parking) for a maximum of 500 boats, on boat trailers, in an existing field. No new structures, site grading, lighting, or signs are proposed. The existing driveway entrance will be used to access the project site. The project is located in the Town of Harrietstown, Franklin County (P2025-0241).

- Construction of a new town park on a vacant parcel owned by the Town of Corinth. The site will be accessed from NYS Route 9N and contain two parking areas, two athletic recreation fields, and walking trails. No lighting is proposed, and the use will be served by commercial outhouses. The project is located in the Town of Corinth, Saratoga County (P2025-0258).
