RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person or remotely.

Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person as well as those who participate remotely. If you would like the opportunity to make a public comment remotely, please email your name and the phone number used to call into the Board Meeting to AgencyMeeting.PublicComment@apa.ny.gov. Those who sign up for public comment will be limited to three minutes each. Public comment will not be accepted on any agenda items that are before the Board.

On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 10:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will hear an informational presentation from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the Department's High Peaks Visitor Use Management Report. Department staff will provide a summary of the report which highlights findings related to visitor use within the High Peaks area. The report is online at: https://dec.ny.gov/sites/default/files/2026-04/highpeaksvum.pdf.

At 11:00 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to hear an overview presentation from APA staff on the Management of Invasive Milfoil in the Adirondack Park. The committee will then consider approval for two proposals to use the aquatic herbicide ProcellaCor EC to control Eurasian watermilfoil. The proposed projects are for Eagle Lake in the Town of Ticonderoga and Minerva Lake in the Town of Minerva. At 1:30 p.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions.
