RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.
At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/Hearings/index.cfm:
• Replacement of four existing utility poles with new utility poles measuring 43 feet in height above grade and the installation of two new utility poles measuring 43 feet in height above grade in the Town of Bellmont, Franklin County (P2024-0330).
• Operation of a retail shop for handmade furniture in a building formerly used as a restaurant in the Town of Lake Luzerne, Warren County (P2025-0038).
• Construction of a 4-foot-wide by 47.2-foot-long bridge involving wetlands in the Town of Oppenheim, Fulton County (P2024-0217).
• Installation of a new 47.5-foot-tall utility pole in the vicinity of an existing 47.5-foot-tall utility pole to support a new platform mounted three-phase transformer bank in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County (P2025-0041).
• Construction of a 120-foot-tall monopole telecommunications tower and 700-foot-long access drive, and installation of antennas on the tower at the 115-foot centerline level in the Town of Ellenburg, Clinton County (P2023-0193).
• A new commercial use canoe manufacturing operation involving construction of a 2,400-square-foot by 20-foot-tall shop building in the Town of Wilmington, Essex County (P2025-0045).
• Authorization of a commercial use and tourist accommodation involving the rental of four RV/tent campsites served by above-ground portable toilets and one tourist cabin in the Town of Lewis, Essex County (P2023-0028).
• A permit and variance request for the construction of a gangplank involving wetlands and a non-conforming dock to provide Museum visitors with ADA-compliant access to the Raquette River in the Town of Tupper Lake, Franklin County (P2025-0056).
• Application of the aquatic herbicide ProcellaCOR EC, involving wetlands, within two treatment areas in Mountain View Lake to control Eurasian watermilfoil in Mountain View Lake, Franklin County (P2025-0052).
