Dredging
What Is It?
The process of removing debris and sediment from the bottom of bodies of water, such as rivers, lakes, and harbors. An Agency permit is required when dredging involved jurisdictional wetlands.

Form Submission
The Agency accepts submissions via email and mail. Emails can be sent to APASubmissions@apa.ny.gov or via the form below. Before submitting, please ensure that:
- All submissions are in PDF format and legible;
- Electronic copies of plans are fully scalable;
- Applications contain scans of signatures affixed by hand or electronic signatures consistent with the Electronic Signatures and Records Act.
